About Us

Stax Volumes was established in 2019 by Will Atkinson, the head route setter at Portside Boulders, Western Australia. Originally just wanting to make a few shapes for the gym, but it soon became apparent that there was a market for Aussie-made volumes.

As the demand for more complex shapes grew, the Stax team also grew, both in the design and manufacturing aspects of the company. We are now a small team of designers, manufacturers and distributors of high quality birch plywood volumes, and we are very proud to have supplied our shapes to many of the large bouldering gyms all across Australia and abroad.

With our very own workshop here in the heart of Fremantle, we continue to grow and add more interesting and exciting products to our catalogue.
